Zachary has some bath crayons that he has really been excited about lately. Usually he uses them to decorate the tub while he's taking a bath. He's very proud of his creations in the tub. Last night after we put the kids to bed Brad and I heard some noise in the bathroom upstairs. When we went up there we discovered that Zachary had put decorations on every surface he could find. Here are some samples of his work.

A wall

Another wall. Notice what the writing says.

The edge of the tub.

The shower wall.

And of course, you can't forget the toilet seat. He wrote "I love Brad" and "I love Zachary".
Well, after seeing this I was getting ready to give him a stern lecture about coloring only on things that are appropriate to color on when he looked up at me with his cute little face and his big blue eyes. He said, "Mommy, I wanted to make your bathroom beautiful. Don't you think it looks pretty?" My heart melted, and I told him that it was beautiful, but that he should keep the crayons in the tub.
I have a big job ahead of me to get all the marks off of everything, but it was totally worth it. This will always be a fun memory we can look back on and get a good laugh out of.

You are definitely a patient woman to keep cool with crayons on every surface. But you're right...it'll be a treasured memory later on. Congrats again on your baby girl! How fun!
aw. Man I hate when they do that. Your just about ready to punish them....and they somehow always get out of it. "Isn't it pretty!" lol funny boys.
Such a sweet little boy! That is so cute! Good luck scrubbing though... have Brad help you!
Thank goodness for magic eraser! But you do have a very colorful bathroom to work with now! hehehe Darn those big blue eyes, melting your heart!
I love it. In this situation I would have laughed, but my husband wouldn't be able to laugh until MUCH later. I hope you got it all cleaned okay...two words....magic eraser!
Priceless! I can't believe how much he got done before you guys caught him. He's a fast worker. Happy scrubbing!
That almost beats the magic marker stars on my couch many years ago. Do we have a budding artist here? Tell Zachary the bathroom is much prettier. : )
Oh my goodness! That kid is so cute! I hope he handles you taking it off ok! Especially after he made your bathroom look so pretty! ha ha...what a funny personality that kid has!
Awwwww. I would probably leave it. But then, I had a hard time cleaning the little frosting handprints off the bathroom mirror after cleaning cake off Lizzie on her first birthday. I think I left it there for a good month. lol. Too cute.
